The G2 Handheld UHF RFID Reader is designed for fast, efficient, and accurate inventory management in retail stores, warehouses, and apparel businesses. Combining UHF RFID technology with a rugged, portable design, it enables users to quickly identify and track multiple RFID-tagged items without individual scanning.
Ideal for stocktaking, goods receiving, inventory tracking, and warehouse operations, the G2 RFID Reader helps businesses reduce manual work, improve inventory visibility, and streamline daily workflows.

Spend less time checking stock. Spend more time helping customers.
A customer asks for a jacket in another size. Your records say it is available, but your team cannot see where it is. G2 brings UHF RFID capture and an Android touchscreen into one handheld device, helping staff check tagged garments across the sales floor, stockroom and warehouse.
Use it with a compatible inventory application to count stock, search for items and verify deliveries. Optional barcode scanning supports a gradual move from barcode checks to item-level RFID.

Designed around daily tasks
Capture multiple item identities without facing every barcode towards the reader. Useful for regular rail, shelf and stockroom counts.
A 5.5-inch touchscreen and 4GB RAM / 64GB storage let staff work with a compatible Android inventory application on the reader itself.
Add the optional 1D/2D barcode engine when some goods still use barcodes. NFC is also available as an optional configuration.
Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 + BLE and supported 4G bands provide connection options for store and warehouse applications.
The pistol grip supports mobile scanning. IP65 protection and a specified 1.2m drop rating suit everyday handling in retail backrooms.
A 7.6V 4000mAh battery can be removed for replacement. Charging is specified at under three hours with the standard adapter and cable.

From a tag read to an answer
The reader captures an EPC: the identifier encoded on an RFID tag. Your application links that identifier to the garment’s style, size and color. That link makes a scan useful to your team.
XTRFID can help plan the tags, handhelds and inventory workflow together. Item search, expected-stock comparison and system updates depend on the selected application and integration. We review your ERP, POS or WMS interfaces before defining the connection.
Discuss your inventory workflowApparel applications
Move through tagged rails, shelves and backroom stock. Review missing or unexpected items in a compatible stocktaking application.
Use supported item-search tools to look for a requested garment while the customer is still in the store.
Compare captured items with an expected delivery or transfer list. Resolve mismatches before confirming the stock movement.
Verify selected garments against an order or return record. Help staff catch a wrong size or unexpected item earlier.
A practical rollout
Choose suitable UHF garment tags and link each EPC to its product record. Configure the handheld for the destination country, then test the reading settings on your actual stock.
Start with a familiar task, such as a stockroom count. Check the results, train the team and agree how exceptions will be handled before expanding to receiving, picking or other stores.

Before you order
Yes, when the optional barcode engine is fitted. RFID capture requires compatible UHF tags. This lets you introduce RFID while keeping barcode checks for other items.
It reads the tag identity. A compatible application must map that EPC to the product and variant record so your team can see the size, color and style.
Item search is supported through a suitable application and reader integration. Tell us how you want to search, so we can confirm the application and device configuration.
Not just by switching the device on. Synchronization needs a compatible application, agreed data mapping and an available system interface. XTRFID can review the integration scope with your team.
Yes. G2 can be configured for the applicable local UHF frequency standard. Tell us your destination country before ordering so we can confirm the frequency, power setting and equipment requirements.
The specification lists a 7.6V 4000mAh battery. Its 30.4Wh energy is equivalent to a 3.8V 8000mAh battery. The page uses the actual voltage and capacity to make this clear.
The supplied documents describe different platform versions. Android version and CPU configuration will be confirmed in the quotation before you order.
For a working RFID inventory process, you need encoded tags linked to your stock records and a compatible application. We can help scope the reader, tags, software and staff workflow together.
Plan your next stock check
